ABOUT US

HIGHGATE Genetics has a mission to expand cancer genetics services by making providers the drivers of testing and management of families. Genetic testing should become part of the oncology patient clinic visit, with follow-up conducted by a oncology practitioner in the presence of positive test results or significant family history. In parallel, many patients are well-served when paired with standard genetic cancer risk services.

Getting the right set of services for each cancer care practice or service can be a complex undertaking. HIGHGATE Genetics provides consultative services for program development, cancer genetics education, and business planning. The company is based in Augusta, Georgia, in the United States, and was founded by John W Henson, MD. Dr. Henson is the director of the Hereditary Cancer Clinic at the Georgia Cancer Center in Augusta and a professor at the Medical College of Georgia.
