DIAGNOSIS AND MANAGEMENT OF HEREDITARY CANCER

John W Henson and Robert G Resta

The information is presented in 50 practice-enhancing tables that relate clinical, genetic, diagnostic, and management aspects in a manner that has previously not been available in a single reference. Intended to guide the specialist as well the novice, this volume will elevate the care of hereditary cancer patients and their families.

ENCYCLOPEDIA OF HEREDITARY CANCER

John W Henson
Academic Press, 2024, 405 pp

From the back cover:

The Encyclopedia of Hereditary Cancer: A Desktop Reference gives insight to the young and rapidly expanding field that combines oncology and genetics to achieve cancer risk reduction for patients and their families as well as early detection and identification of targeted treatments. While genetics and oncology are both well-developed knowledge areas, their combination in hereditary cancer yields an opportunity for new works that systemize knowledge for current researchers, practitioners, and students.

The Encyclopedia of Hereditary Cancer: A Desktop Reference examines 219 topics through the lens of hereditary cancer. There are no similar books that present information in this manner. The work contains a complete list of terms and definitions which can be easily referenced by researchers and clinicians working in this field.

I would have sold my soul for a comprehensive text like this not only when I first started providing hereditary cancer counseling… but also throughout my career when I became the presumed local expert who others turned to for advice.” Robert G Resta, MS, CCG
